PHRM 88000 - Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience |
Credit Hours: 4.00. This final year begins in May and continues through the following April. The 40 weeks of rotation are broken down as follows: 4 weeks Hospital Operations 2, 4 weeks Community Pharmacy Operations 2, 8 weeks Ambulatory rotations, 8 weeks inpatient rotations, and 16 weeks General Electives (4 of which must be additional patient care rotation). Typically offered Fall Spring Summer.

The purposes, uses, and effects of their medications and related therapy. 2. Achievable therapeutic outcomes with estimated time frame. 3. Drug cautions and side effects in relation to the patient's condition. 4. Medication cost issues. 5. Relevant lifestyle modifications (i.e. weight loss and smoking cessation) and non-drug therapies. 6. Use, storage, side effects, and dosage of nonprescription drugs. 7. The appropriate selection of over-the-counter medications in response to patient's condition/needs. 8. Appropriate patient's comprehension of student's counseling (i.e. final verification step).
