Learning Outcomes: 1. Appreciate the scope and application of modern Forensic Biology and Insect Biology. 2. Appreciate the scope, diversity and utility of a variety of modern molecular typing techniques as they are used to address Grad Challenges. 3. Perform the primary techniques used in current entomological and forensic molecular data generation: DNA extraction and quantification, PCR, gel electrophoresis and sample purification. 4. Perform molecular data generation analysis.
