College level math is not required to be successful in the course; all math practice needed in the course is embedded. Freshmen are encouraged to take the course. It will be taught in a group style learning environment under the supervision of multiple instructors in an inquiry-oriented mode rather than traditional lecture. Students are expected to work independently throughout the semester.
