Teaching Internships - 58615 - EAPS 39100 - 006    

This internship focuses on teaching and learning strategies and combines a short initial training program at the start of the semester with practical hands-on teaching experience as a lab instructor or grader in an introductory course. A monthly discussion meeting will focus on current issues in the classroom, presentation practice, as well as a self-assessment of the student instructors. Success completion of this course is required for students who want to be employed as an undergraduate teaching assistant in the department. This internship is for juniors or seniors who received an A or B in an EAPS introductory courses, have good study and time management skills, who are EAPS majors with a good academic record, have professional manners and appearance, and enjoy working with students and speaking in front of a group.
