Credit Hours: 3.00. Explores color aesthetic based on the works of color masters (e.g., Albers, Itten, Chevreul, Birren, Munsell, and Ostwald) and contemporary color research issues applied to art and design. Color research methodology will be addressed.

Identify and apply color aesthetic principles to assigned problems. 2. Produce self-initiated experimental color studies. 3. Write a color research proposal. 4. Propose and develop a small color research project based on theoretical frameworks discussed in class. 5. Investigate and discuss color research related to art and design. 6. Discuss contemporary color design issues.
