Learning Outcomes: 1.  Explain the methods, objects of study, and applications of literary studies and the liberal arts, especially related to the Bible. 2.  Employ critical approaches from basic building blocks to more advanced ones suited to cultural complexities. 3.  Explain and employ different genres of reading, including argument through evidence and close reading. 4.  Demonstrate written and visual literacies by analyzing diverse media. 5.  Demonstrate knowledge of and proficiency in different types of writing, including argument through evidence and written persuasion. 6.  Demonstrate content knowledge of specific Biblical books and their genres.
