Learning Outcomes: 1.  Learn through practical experience the isolation, purification, and characterization of organic compounds through processes including liquid-liquid extraction, evaporation, solid-phase chromatography, distillation and infrared spectroscopy.  2.  Learn through practical experience the use of simple methods to carry out reactions discussed in organic chemistry lectures and how to isolate and characterize the products.
