This variable-credit, special topics course will be used for rotating topics dealing with skills, knowledge, and experiences related to landscape architectural theory, expression, and practice. Non-Landscape Architecture students may gain enrollment with permission of instructor. Typically offered Fall Spring.

Learning Outcomes: 1. Understand and relate information about significant examples of landscape architecture in North America which illustrate key principles and concepts of physical design and the organization of space for functional and aesthetic purposes. 2. Demonstrate that important historical landscape design is the product of both the broad cultural context (social, political, economic, and philosophical trends) and, of environmental factors such as climate and topography.
