Learning Outcomes: 1. Transition from fundamental design skills to advanced graphic design applications. 2. Introduce layout/grid systems and their theoretical and practical applications. 3. Introduce students to the fundamentals of typography, exploring the relationships between type and image. 4. Increase proficiency in graphic software in the context of graphic design projects. 5. Gain a better understanding of the history of graphic design. 6. Develop more advanced problem-solving skills. 7. Prepare students for the Sophomore Review, and advanced junior- and senior-level design courses.
