HORT 31800 - Field Production Of Horticultural Crops
Credit Hours: 3.00. A survey of the principles and practices of field production of horticultural crops: fruits, vegetables, herbs, and nursery crops. Production principles will be discussed in lab prep while laboratory exercises will emphasize practical hands-on experience in modern technology of specialty crop production including management inputs, cultivar selection, crop manipulation, harvesting and handling. Typically offered Fall.

Compare and contrast various approaches to maximize production, including breeding and biotechnology.
