AGR 39500 - International Internship |
Credit Hours: 3.00. Supervised international internship in agricultural, food, or natural resource disciplines. The international internship must be approved as part of a Purdue University study abroad program and conducted under the supervision of a College of Agriculture faculty member. Students must submit a summary report and fulfill all requirements established by faculty supervisor. Consent of the College of Agriculture International Programs in Agriculture and Office of Academic Programs staff required. Permission of department required. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer.

Compare and contrast agriculture practices between country of internship and the US. 4. Demonstrate emerging intercultural knowledge and effectiveness in the following areas: a) Cultural Self-Awareness: Recognizes new perspectives about own cultural rules and biases; b) Worldview frameworks: Demonstrates adequate understanding of the complexity of elements important to members of another culture in relation to its history, values, politics, communications styles, economy, or beliefs and practices: c) Curiosity: Asks deeper questions about other cultures and seeks out answers to these questions. |
