Identify and locate the major groups of Latin America's indigenous peoples on the map and assess their historical trajectory through primary and secondary texts, group discussion and debate, and written reports. 2. Survey in Spanish from a historical perspective the rise and development of Colonial Latin American institutions through critical readings, written and oral presentations. 3. Summarize in Spanish the key forces leading up to and following the 19th-century wars of Independence by assessing regional military and political strategies and by generating written and oral reports.
