Develop specific knowledge of the linguistic analysis of Spanish morphosyntax, through lectures, quizzes, take-home assignments and midterm exams, students. 2. Apply this knowledge of Spanish morphosyntax to linguistic theorizing in general but most importantly to their own learning process of the Spanish language through integrated readings and discussions, exams, and projects. 3. Examine linguistic phenomena related to Spanish morphosyntax and morphology by using explicit knowledge of word-level phenomena (e.g., derivational and inflectional morphology, the lexicon) as well as phrase and sentence-level phenomena (e.g., interrogative formation, subject-verb inversion, relative clauses, clitic expression and movement, passivation), through lectures, quizzes, take-home assignments and midterm exams.
