Learning Outcomes: 1. Become acquainted with the canonical works of the Italian Renaissance that have had a major influence on modern Western thought and will develop a broad understanding of the Renaissance. 2. Become familiar with different literary genres such as poetry, comedy, novellas, treatises and dialogues, and will develop the tools necessary to approach them critically within the cultural and political context that produced them. 3. Improve their critical and writing skills.
