EAPS 65300 - Fracturing Of Rocks
Credit Hours: 3.00. Description and analysis of joints and faults from the point of view of field geology and fracture mechanics. Three basic modes of fracture and their analogs in the Earth's crust. Also examined are structures, such as folds, pressure solution surfaces, basins, and mountain ranges associated with faults. Offered in alternate years. Prerequisite: differential equations.
