Chemical principles underlying the reactivity of organic molecules with an emphasis on mechanism; the structure and stereochemical properties of organic molecules and functional groups; physical properties that influence the reactivity of organic molecules; an introduction to ionic and racial reaction mechanisms with particular attention given to issues of product selectivity; synthesis and structure of polymeric materials.
