Soils as natural components of landscapes, geomorphology and soil characteristics; processes of soil formation; principal soils of Indiana, their adaptations, limitations, productivity and use; global soil distributions; application of GPS and mobile GIS in the field. This course requires two all-day field trips. Students will pay individual meal expenses when necessary. Typically offered Fall.
