Modern techniques for the isolation, purification, and characterization of biological macromolecules. Advanced techniques of protein and nucleic acid chemistry. Emphasis will be placed on recombinant DNA technology, including the isolation, cloning, and characterization of genes. Specific projects will be designed to meet individual student interests.
