Credit Hours: 3.00. Introductory course in theory of personality advisable, especially for undergraduates (e.g., PSY 420). A survey of the major approaches to psychotherapy, including their theory of illness and cure. Three traditions are represented: psychoanalytical (e.g., Freud, Adler, Jung), behavioral (e.g., Miller and Dollard, Wolpe, Stampfl), and cognitive-phenomenological (e.g., Rogers, Kelly, Binswanger). Typically offered Spring.
