Credit Hours: 3.00. Introduction to engineering problem solving and the use of computer software, UNIX, computer communications, spreadsheets for problem solving and plotting. Iterations and loops using MATLAB. Applications in engineering. Fundamental engineering topics include units, estimations, statistics, economics, mechanics, and conservation principles. Student will work in teams to decompose and solve engineering problems. Admission to the Freshman Engineering Honors Program. Typically offered Fall.
