Learning Outcomes: 1. Understand the relationship between the food product life cycle and resource use and emissions generated. 2. Explain the principles of LCA and describe its content and purpose of each analytical step. 3. Interpret and evaluate food LCA studies and understand their strengths, weaknesses and appropriate use. 4. Perform a complete LCA to assess the environmental impact of a food product/system using publicly available data and software. 5.
