---|
Associated Term:
Spring 2024
Learning Outcomes: 1. Distinguish situations when nonparametric methods apply from those when normal theory methods apply. 2. Become familiar with rank-based, permutation-based and resampling-based methods of statistical analysis that are used in a wide variety of settings. 3. Learn the principles of deriving and/or simulating sampling distributions of test statistic under fewer assumptions. 4. Learn rigorous proofs of a few commonly used nonparametric methods. 5. Learn how to use statistical software such as R and SAS to carry out relevant computations to determine power and sample size. Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
