Learning Outcomes: 1. Analyze contexts and audiences and develop rhetorical knowledge by negotiating purpose, audience, context, and conventions as they compose a variety of texts for different situations. 2. Develop the ability to analyze, synthesize, interpret, and evaluate ideas, information, situations, and texts. Students compose texts to communicate in various contexts and integrate their ideas with those from appropriate sources. 3. Use multiple strategies, or composing processes, to conceptualize, develop, and finalize projects for different contexts and occasions. 4. Understand genre conventions, analyze and use sources, apply appropriate citation conventions (MLA, APA, Chicago, etc.) in academic work, and edit texts at the word and sentence level to correct errors in syntax, grammar, punctuation, and spelling. 5.
