IE 57800 - Applied Ergonomics
Associated Term: Fall 2023
Learning Outcomes: 1. Analyze and design work to fit human anthropometric requirements. 2. Analyze and design work to meet human physiological limitations, including lifting tasks. 3. Conduct time studies and use predetermined time system modeling. 4. Perform task analysis and process mapping. 5. Analyze and design work to meet human cognitive limitations. 6. Determine function allocation between automation and human tasks. 7. Model basic human performance at movement, detection, and control tasks. 8. Identify common human errors and perform human reliability analysis. 9. Design displays that meet basic human-computer interaction principles. 10. Write technical reports describing the results of human factors analysis. 11. Present technical material describing the results of human factors analysis.
