HORT 53100 - Applied Plant Genomics
Associated Term: Fall 2022
Learning Outcomes: 1. Describe and compare the chemistry, data yield, and cost of first generation, next generation and third generation sequencing technologies, and their applications in plant genome sequencing. 2. Obtain and understand the information on genome sequences and gene annotations for a sequenced plant genome. 3. Design and perform a transcriptome analysis pipeline. 4. Describe the statistical basis of gene enrichment analysis. 5. Apply standard gene group analysis tools to perform GO term analysis, motif analysis, pathway analysis, gene list overlapping and gene regulatory network analysis to interpret a gene list resulting from a functional genomics project.
