Learning Outcomes: 1. Demonstrate knowledge of foundational scientific concepts. 2. Comprehend, interpret and apply knowledge to integrate biochemistry and physiology information relevant to nutrient metabolism with particular emphasis on bone and gut. 3. Develop knowledge of and learn to apply research methods used in nutrition, including biochemical and molecular analyses, preclinical and clinical study designs, and epidemiological approaches. 4. Develop skills important to a career in nutrition and animal science, e.g. critical thinking skills, reading and discussing current scientific literature, and scientific writing.
