Learning Outcomes: 1. Define sustainability and assess the ways that sustainable design strategies, processes, and products may be integrated effectively into the built environment. 2. Identify complex social, ecological, and economic dimensions that affect the well-being of humans, neighborhoods, communities, and ecological systems. 3. Apply critical thinking skills to explain how green building methods affect the way built environments are designed, constructed, and operated. 4. Utilize appropriate methodological tools to analyze sustainable problems and provide environmentally responsible solutions for a green-building scenario. 5. Articulate a comprehensive, progressive world view that integrates diverse approaches to sustainability. 6. Utilize USGBC materials and other educational sources to explain the LEED rating system, LEED professional credentials, and Green Building principles and techniques preparatory to obtaining the LEED Green Associate credential.
