Learning Outcomes: 1. Have a detailed historical understanding of the development and evolution of ancient Greek and Roman comedy. 2. Be able to appreciate and intelligently discuss major themes in Greek and Roman comedy as they relate to both ancient and modern views of what is "comic" or humorous. 3.
