Learning Outcomes: 1. Become familiar with best management practices for growing herbaceous ornamentals and vegetables that improve sustainability in controlled environments. 2. Learn how above and below ground environments interact with crop production. 3. Learn basics about the state-of-the-art technologies used in controlled environment agricultural production to monitor and control environments. 4. Interact with industry professionals to gain first-hand knowledge about careers and development in commercial horticulture. 5. Gain sufficient background in science, technology and regulations required to become entrepreneurs, next generation growers and researchers in the controlled environment agriculture industry.
