HORT 27000 - Floral Design And Interior Plant Management
Associated Term: Spring 2020
Learning Outcomes: 1. Recognize and use the elements and principles of design as they apply to the art of arranging flowers. 2. Develop the skills necessary to create floral designs. 3. Correctly select and use flowers, containers, and color harmonies. 4. Properly condition cut flowers and greens for use in everyday flower arrangements. 5. Identify indoor foliage plants and flowers and problems of interior plants. 6. Better understand the factors involved in growing and maintaining plants. 7. Know the cultural requirements of 30 popular interior plants. 8. Properly manage interior plants and floral arrangements. 9. Properly evaluate floral designs used for decorating and gift giving. 10. Receive greater enjoyment from plants and flowers and increased awareness of their design qualities.
