Learning Outcomes: 1. Provide familiarity with the original languages that lie behind English translations of world literature. 2. Relate a particular culture to the larger patterns of world literature to gain an appreciative of cultural diversity and global awareness of class, ethnicity, gender, and race. 3. Provide practical experience in oral communication through class presentations and reports and projects. 4.
