Learning Outcomes: 1. Summarize the history of archaeology and theoretical frameworks used in interpreting the past. 2. Discuss field and laboratory techniques that archaeologists use to analyze material remains from the archaeological record and reconstruct past human behavior. 3. Describe prehistoric cultural practices including diet and subsistence, migrations, social and political organization. 4. Identify the contributions of archaeology to today's society through various professions inside and outside academic settings.
