EAPS 63000 - Atmospheric Remote Sensing
Associated Term: Fall 2016
Learning Outcomes: 1. Understand the fundamental principles of remote sensing of atmospheric variables using electromagnetic radiation. 2. Learn the basics of orbital mechanics as applied to remote sensing satellite orbits and measurement strategies. 3. Recognize the spectral characteristics of atmospheric absorption. 4. Understand the scattering properties of spherical particles. 5. Describe simple passive remote sensing systems. 6. Describe simple active remote sensing systems.
