EAPS 57700 - Geologic Remote Sensing And Spectroscopy
Associated Term: Fall 2016
Learning Outcomes: 1. To develop awareness and knowledge of the various types of remote sensing data that are used to study the evolution of the Earth’s surface. 2. To understand how these tools work and the range of geologic topics that they are applied to. 3. To develop critical thinking skills essential for interpretation of multi-dimensional spatial data. 4. To provide a supervised research experience. 5. To strengthen scientific communication skills. 6. To develop some of the fundamental practical skills(computer-based experience) that are needed to analyze this data.
