Learning Outcomes: 1. Understand who gifted, creative, and talented children are and how their talent development needs can be met in the school setting. 2. Recognize the diversity that exists within the gifted, creative, and talented population. 3. Understand the history, philosophical traditions, and paradigms of practice in gifted education. 4. Develop awareness of specific strategies for supporting gifted, creative, and talented students within the school context. 5. Develop awareness of key professional resources in the field of gifted education and talent development. 6. Develop a personal identity as a practitioner of gifted education.
