STAT 43200 - Introduction To Stochastic Processes And Probability Modeling
Associated Term: Fall 2015
Learning Outcomes: 1. Understand how to use theory principles to study the evolution of a random phenomenon observed over a set of discrete time epochs or over a continuous time interval. 2. Ability to recognize the occurrence of such phenomena in many different fields of study such as engineering, computer science, management science, the life, physical and social sciences, and operations research. 3. Develop an intuitive feel for the subject and be able to think probabilistically. 4. Learn how to use software such as Excel, MINITAB and R to carry out the relevant computations.
