CHM 37301 - Physical Chemistry Laboratory
Associated Term: Fall 2015
Learning Outcomes: 1. Use experiential observations to illustrate core concepts and general theoretical principles of chemistry. 2. Use theory to understand/predict experimental observations. 3. Demonstrate an understanding of the connection between molecular properties and chemical equilibria. 4. Demonstrate an understanding of the connection between molecular properties and optical spectroscopy. 5. Develop problem-solving skills related to the analysis and interpretation of experimental observations. 6. Reduce complex problems into simpler components. 7. Work in teams and collaborate. 8. Work with minimal supervision. 9. Comprehend scientific papers. 10. Organize data for meaningful interpretation, including causes of experimental error and experimental detection limits. 11. Practice professional behavior: reliability, punctuality, and efficiency.
