Learning Outcomes: 1. Demonstrate an understanding of the instructional decision-making processes of guided reinvention teachers. 2. Have developed the mathematics that underlies the procedures used for operations involving rational numbers. 3. Apply the fundamental ideas of number theory and set theory. 4. Make sense of large and small numbers and use scientific notation. 5. Analyze and explain real numbers and whether or not the field axioms hold. 6. Analyze and represent patterns relations, and functions (for linear, quadratic and exponential functions). 7. Use mathematical models to represent quantitative relationships. 8.
