Learning Outcomes: 1. Develop a sound background in theory and research about children's language and literacy development and learning in grades k-3. 2. Learn how literacy learning, teaching, and assessment in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension and writing can be effectively and systematically integrated and diversified to meet individual or group needs in grades k-3. 3.
